April 20, 2014 Bass: Bass are moving into the more shallow water since it is getting warmer. Some are making beds and some have already spawned out. Use jigs around piers and in the grass lines. Black and blue are always good. Spinner baits are still good around the mouths of different creeks. Use white with chart. Bass on beds can be caught with trick worms and flukes. Pink is always good and lime green.
Crappie: Crappie are still around. Some are being caught around tree tops in the creeks. Try tree stickups and summerged tree tops. Use hair jigs or blue and white tails with red heads or orange heads.
23.86 lbs. caught on a crank bait
The new boat ramp is complete. 4 boats can launch at the same time. The parking lot, new pier and weigh-in station will be complete at a later date.
